Shot and Pint M&M Glasses Recalled for Lead and Cadmium

Charles Products is recalling shot and pint glasses that were sold exclusively through M&M’s World retail stores because they may exceed FDA guidance levels for leachable lead and cadmium. Those are heavy metals that accumulate in the body and can cause serious health problems at high levels. The glasses should be returned and shouldn’t be used for the consumption of any beverage.

The glasses were sold in New York, Las Vegas, Orlando, and London. The recalled products include glasses with an image of the Red M&M’s character and the worlds “Hard on the outside, soft on the inside.” The material number of the red shot glass is 2000835986 with SKU number 835986. The material number of the red pint glass is 2000835991 with SKU number 835991.

Also recalled are glasses with an image of the Blue M&M’s character and the worlds “Who’s your candy?”. The blue shot glass material number is 2000835989 and SKU number 835989. The blue pint glass material number is2000835992 and SKU number 835992. Finally glasses with an image of the Green M&M’s character and the worlds “Eye candy” are recalled. The green shot glass material number is 2000835990 and SKU number 835990, and the green pint glass number is 2000835993 with SKU number 835993.
