Taylor Farms Broccoli Salad Recalled for Undeclared Allergen, Nuts

Taylor Farms of Swedesboro, NJ is recalling approximately 377 pounds of Signature Café Broccoli Kale Salad with Chicken product because it contains an undeclared allergen, walnuts. There have been no reports of illness but people with allergies to tree nuts should not eat this product as it may cause a serious allergic reaction.

Recall SignThe walnuts are packaged in a cupped packet inside the salad container. The recalled product was packaged in a 9.75-oz. plastic clam shell packages with “Use by” dates of “10/23/14,” “10/25/14,” and “10/27/14” on the lid of the product.

The packages are stamped with “P-34513” inside the USDA mark of inspection on the label. The recalled salads were produced on 10/17/14, 10/19/14, and 10/21/14 and distributed to retail stores in Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

The problem was discovered at the distributor doing business with the company.
