Tofu Pad Thai and Thai Noodle Salad Recalled for Undeclared Shellfish

Real Foods of Washington is recalling 299 units of Tofu Pad Thai Bowl and 178 unites of Thai Noodle Salad for misbranding and undeclared shellfish. The product contains shrimp, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone with an allergy to shrimp could have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat these products. No adverse reactions have been reported to date.

Tofu Pad Thai Bowl RecallThe following products are recalled. First is Tofu Pad Thai Bowl in 13.5 ounce rigid plastic containers, sold at Fred Meyer stores. The UPC number is 0 30223 00914 6 and the best by dates are 12/23/14 and 12/24/14. The same product was sold at Quality Food Centers, with the same UPC number, and best by dates of 12/23/14, 12/24/14, and 12/25/14. They were sold in Washington and Oregon. Finally, Thai Noodle Salad with Thai Peanut Salad in 8.5 ounce rigid plastic containers was sold at Haggen/Top Foods. The UPC number of that product is 0 45009 10116 7, and best by dates are 12/18/14, 12/19/14, 12/20/14, 12/21/14, 12/22/14, and 12/23/14.

If you purchased any of these products and are allergic to shrimp or shellfish, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
