Whole Foods Recalls Noodle Salad for Undeclared Soy

Whole Foods Market is recalling Thai Soba Noodle Salad sold in all stores in five states because they were made with soy, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. The salad contains edamame (soybeans) as an ingredient. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy could have a serious reaction if they consume this product. There is no word if any reactions have been reported.

Thai Soba Noodle Salad Whole Foods RecallThe Whole Foods Market Kitchens salad, labeled as Whole Foods Market Thai Soba Noodle Salad under the Health Starts Here category, was sold in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, on May 22, 2014. The product was in 9 ounce packages, and has a use by date of 5/25/14. Signage is posted in affected Whole Foods Market stores to notify customers.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to soy, do not eat it. Discard it or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
