Aleias Gluten Free Croutons Recalled for Undeclared Peanut

Aleias Gluten Free Foods is recalling certain lots of its 8 ounce Parmesan Croutons and Classic Croutons because they may contain undeclared peanut protein. People who have an allergy to peanuts should not eat these products as they run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do. At the time of the recall, there had been no reports of illness.

crouton-recallThe recalled products were distributed nationwide in grocery stores and through web orders. They were packaged in a brown cardboard box with white text.

The recalled parmesan croutons have the UPC 8 55930 00162 3 and the lot numbers 410221, 413121, 416021, 417221, 419211, 510110, 514210. The classic croutons have the UPC 8 55930 00161 6 and the lot numbers 410221, 413121, 416021, 417221, 419211, 510110, 514210.

The recall stems from undeclared peanut protein in  cumin provided by a third-party supplier.
