Grimm’s Roast Beef Recalled in Canada for Listeria

FG Deli Group Ltd. is recalling Grimm’s brand Home Style Roast Beef from the marketplace because it may contain Listeria monocytogenes bacteria.No illnesses have been reported to date, but listeriosis, the illness caused by this bacteria, can take up to 70 days to manifest.

Grimm's Roast Beef Listeria RecallThe recalled product is Grimm’s Fine Foods Home Style Roast Beef in variable size packages. This product may have been sold clerk-served from deli counters with or without a label or coding. If you aren’t sure whether or not you purchased this product, contact the store for information. There was no UPC number. The codes on the product are G111630 BB 24 JUL 2015. The beef was sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Yukon, and possibly nationally.

If you purchased this p;product, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund. Then clean your refrigerator with a mild bleach solution to kill any remaining bacteria.

If you ate this product, monitor yourself for the symptoms of listeriosis for the next 70 days. Pregnant women should be especially vigilant about this, since this illness can cause miscarriage and stillbirth.
