Hatfield Pork Ribs Recalled for Undeclared Peanut

Clemens Food Group of Hatfield, Pa. is recalling Hatfield Smokey Chipotle Dry Rub Seasoned St. Louis Style Ribs for undeclared peanut. Consumers with an allergy to peanut should not eat this product as they risk serious reaction if they do.

hatfield-ribs-recallThe recalled products were sold in 20-lb. cases with code #4109 containing 6 individually wrapped and labeled packages with code 354. The establishment number “EST. 791” is inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The recalled products were distributed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The problem stems from cumin from a spice supplier that may have been contaminated with peanut. There had been no reports of adverse reactions at the time of the recall.
