Mak Kimchi Recalled for Undeclared Shrimp

Korean Food in Texas is recalling Mak Kimchi because it may contain undeclared shrimp (shellfish). People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to shrimp could have a serious allergic reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

The recalled item is Mak Kimchi sold in 32 ounce and half gallon glass jars. It was distributed in Asian markets at the retail level in Plano, Texas; Carrollton, Texas, Dallas, Texas; and Lawton, Oklahoma. The UPC number is 4205313810 for the 32 ounce jars and 4205313730 for the half gallon jars. The products were sold between December 1, 2014 and January 23, 2015.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to shellfish (shrimp), do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
