Natural Grocers Organic Garlic Powder Recalled for Salmonella

Vitamin Cottage Natural Food Markets of Colorado is recalling two lots of Natural Grocers brand Organic Garlic Powder because it may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No reports of illness have been received to date.

The recalled product is packaged in clear plastic bags with the Natural Grocers label. The Julian pack on dates and pricing per pound are on the label. It was packaged in size ranges of 0.25 pound to 0.30 pounds. The lots recalled have Julian dates of 351-14 and 006-15. It was distributed to Natural Grocers’ 92 stores inĀ Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. FDA testing revealed the presence of the bacteria in some product samples.

If you purchased this item, do not eat it. Discard in a sealed container or return to the store for credit or refund.
