Nature’s Eats Macadamia Nuts Recalled for Possible Salmonella

Texas Star Nut and Food Company is recalling Nature’s Eats Natural Macadamia Nuts because it may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

Macadamia NutsThe recalled product is Nature’s Eats Natural Macadamia Nuts in a 6 ounce package. The lot code is #31435001 and it is packed in cello bags. The best before date of 12/23/2015 is on the bottom of the nutritional label on the back of the bag. It was distributed only to HEB stores in Texas between 12/30/2014 and 3/20/2015.

FDA testing detected Salmonella bacteria in a random sampling of the product. If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Discard in a sealed or closed container so other people and animals can’t eat it, or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
