Sunfood Recalls Organic Sacha Inchi Powder for Bacteria

Sunfood of California is recalling Organic Sacha Inchi Powder because it may be contaminated with Staphylococcus enterotoxin. This bacteria can cause nausea, vomiting, retching, abdominal cramps, headache, and changes in blood pressure and pulse. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled product is Organic Sacha Inchi Powder in 8 ounce white poly bags. The lot number is 141027, UPC number is 803813-28444 1 and expiration date is 9/30/2016. It was distributed nationwide in retail stores and through mail order. Routine testing found the possibility of the pathogenic bacteria in this one lot number.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
