Trader Joe’s Recalls Cinnamon Almonds for Undeclared Peanut

Trader Joe’s  is recalling all lots Trader Joe’s Cinnamon Almonds sold in 16 0z packages because they may contain undeclared peanuts. People who have allergies to peanuts should not eat this product as they run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do.

trader-joe's-cinnamon-almond-recallThe recalled products were distributed nationwide in Trader Joe’s retail stores. They were packaged in clear plastic with the UPC # 00761437 on the back of the package.

The recall was initiated after peanuts were discovered in packages of Trader Joe’s Cinnamon Almonds. The problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the supplier’s production and packaging processes. The product has been removed from store shelves and sales of this product have been suspended.
