BI-LO Recalling Cranberry Trail Mix for Undeclared Soy

BI-LO is recalling Cranberry Trail Mix because it contains undeclared soy lecithin. Soy is one of the major food allergens. Soy lecithin is a processed product, which removes some of the allergenic proteins, but not all of them. People with serious allergies to soy may still have severe reactions.

The product is Southern HomeĀ® Cranberry Nut Antioxidant Blend Trail Mix in 16 ounce bags. The UPC number is 0788003039 and a best-by date of March 12, 2013. The product was sold in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

The problem was reported to BI-LO by a customer, although there have been no reports of illness associated with consumption of the product. Return the product, the product packaging label, or a receipt to the place of purchase for a refund. For questions, call 1-800-862-9293 Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm ET.
