F&S Recalls Products Made with Mexican Daniella Mangoes

F&S Produce Co. Inc of New Jersey is recalling products made with fresh cut mangoes for possible Salmonella Braenderup contamination. The products have an expiration date of August 28, 2012, but they may still be in customer’s homes. None of the illnesses in the nationwide outbreak of Salmonella Braenderup have been linked to F&S products.

MangoThe recalled products include: Delish! brand: Mango spears 5 ounce Cantaloupe; Mango, Pineapple Spears 5 ounce; Fruit Burst 10 ounce; Tropical Medley 10 ounce; Mango and Berry Mix 10 ounce; and Mango Spears 1 pound. Garden Highway brand: Mango Medley 1 pound, and Tropical Mango Spinach Salad 7 ounce. Garden Pure brand: Mango Chunks 5 pound; Mango 9 ounce; Fruit Medley 3 pound; Seasonal Fruit Bowl 4 pound.

More recalled products include: Signature Cafe: Fruit Basket Medley 30 ounce; Trader Joe’s Tropical Fruit Medley 1 pound; and WalMart generic label Mango Spears 1 pound, the last with expiration date August 25, 2012. The products were distributed to grocery and convenience stores in the Northeast United States. The company said that products with use-by or sell-by dates of August 29, 2012 or later were made with mangoes imported from Brazil and aren’t associated with the recall.
