Nina International Recalls Ground Hot Pepper for Possible Salmonella

Nina International is recalling Ground Hot Pepper because it may be contaminated with Salmonella. The product is sold in clear plastic 5 ounce containers. It was sold in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia and reached consumers through African and ethnic retail food stores. It is inscribed with “Nina International, The Best Brand”, and “Ground Hot Pepper, Chillies, All Natural.” It has a yellow seal with a red “Nina” inscription. The barcode is 745851004004.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product. Routine testing found that the finished products contained the bacteria. If you have purchased this product, return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
