Dietary Supplements Recalled for Active Pharmaceuticals

Nova Products is recalling some dietary supplements because they contain undeclared sildenafil and tadalafil, active ingredients of FDA-approved drugs used to treat erectile dysfunction. The drugs interact with prescription drugs and can cause decreased blood pressure, making them dangerous for anyone taking drugs for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease.

The recalled products are African Black Ant with lot number 2006-000926, Black Ant with lot number 2006-3627878), XZen Gold with lot number 130310GL, ZXen Platinum with lot number 130520PL, XZen 1200 with lot number 13051012, XZone Gold with lot number 131110GL, and XZone 1200 with lot number 13071012. The products were distributed in blister packs, envelopes, bottles, and/or boxes nationwide at retail stores.

If you purchased any of these items, do not take them. Return them to the place of purchase for a refund. If you have experienced adverse reactions after taking these products, report to the FDA MetWatch Adverse Reporting program online.
