Wafer Bars Recalled for Undeclared Milk

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Omega Food Importers are recalling Marco Polo Chocolate Covered Wafer Bars in two varieties because they contain undeclared milk, one of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy to milk could have a serious or life threatening reaction if they eat this product. There is no word on whether any allergic reactions have been reported to date.

RecallThe recall is for Marco Polo brand name. All codes where milk is not declared on the label are recalled. The first is Chocolate Covered Hazelnut Wafer Bar in 544 gram packages. The UPC number isĀ 6 64166 10118 8. The second product is Chocolate Covered Wafer Bar in 544 gram packages with UPC numberĀ 6 64166 10112 6. These products were sold nationwide.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to milk, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
