Beef Lips Recalled for Lack of U.S. Import Inspection

Bassett & Walker of Toronto, Canada, is recalling 1,540 pounds of beef lip products that were produced in Australia. They were not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection, so a possibility of adverse health consequences exists. No confirmed illnesses have been reported to date.

The product was shipped on different dates between March 2, 2015 and April 7, 2015 and was distributed to retail outlets in the San Diego, California area. They are all Beef Lips. The numbers are Manufactured by Australian Est. 4, JBS PTY Limited; Manufactured by Australian Est. 170, JBS PTY Limited; Manufactured by Australian Est. 235, JBS PTY Limited; and Manufactured by Australian Est. 517, JBS PTY Limited.
