Boulder Meats Recalls Beef, Poultry, and Pork Products

Boulder Natural Meats of Colorado is recalling 3,607 pounds of beef, pork, and poultry products because they are missing the ingredient statement and some contain milk, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. No confirmed reports of illnesses or allergic reactions have been received to date.

BN Products RecallThese recalled products are all in vacuum sealed packages:  10 pound packages of BN CHICKEN MILD ITALIAN SAUSAGE, 10 pound packages of BN CHICKEN HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGE, 10 pound packages of BN CHICKEN BREAKFAST SAUSAGE, 10 pound packages of FRESH CHICKEN CHORIZO SAUSAGE, 8 pound packages of COWBOY BURGERS ASPEN NATURAL MEATS, 8 pound packages BACON & CHEDDAR CHEESE SEASONED BEEF BURGERS ASPEN NATURAL MEATS, 8 pound packages SMOKED SALT & BALINESE PEPPER SEASONED BURGERS ASPEN NATURAL MEATS, 10 pound packages BN PORK HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGE, 10 pound packages BN PORK MILD ITALIAN SAUSAGE, 10 pound packages BN PORK SAGE BREAKFAST SAUSAGE, and 10 pound packages BN PORK CHORIZO SAUSAGE. Also recalled are 16 ounce plastic frozen tubs of CHICKEN LIVERS.

The products all have the establishment number “EST. 18852 and “P-18852” inside the USADA mark of inspection. They were shipped to retail stores in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. You can see pictures of product labels at the USDA web site.

If you purchased any of these products and are allergic to milk, discard them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. The problem was discovered by an FSIS inspector who found the misbranded meat products at a retail store.
