Cashew Split Recalled for Possible Salmonella

Maya Overseas Foods of New York is recalling 8,000 pounds of Cashew Split because it may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

The Cashew Spit was sold between February 18, 2015 and March 20, 2015 to retailers and restaurants in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Florida by direct trucking and delivery. It was sold uncoded in clear plastic pouches in these sizes: 7 ounce with UPC number  020843230389, 14 ounce with UPC number 020843230716, 28 ounce with UPC number 020843230327, and 5 pound with UPC number 020843230303. It was also sold in bulk 50 pound tins.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Discard in a sealed container or preferably return to the place of purchase for a full refund.
