Euro Import Recalls Dried Apricots for Sulfites

Euro Import Distributions of New York is recalling dried apricots because they contain undeclared sulfites. Anyone who has a sensitivity to sulfites and some asthmatics could suffer anaphylactic shock if they eat foods with more than 10 milligrams of sulfites per serving.

These dried apricots had 23.26 milligrams of sulfites per serving. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

The recalled dried apricots are sold in 3.5 ounce plastic bags coded 20 02 15. They were distributed in New York State. The apricots are a product of Russia.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to sulfites, or have asthma, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
