Golden Krust Recalls Beef and Chicken Products for Misbranding

Golden Krust Patties of the Bronx, NY is recalling 9,073,384 pounds of beef and chicken products because they were made with egg, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. No reports of illness or adverse reactions have been received to date.

You can see the long list of recalled products at the USDA web site. They include Golden Krust products “Jamaican Style Hot Beef Patties”, “Jamaican Style Chicken”, “Cheezee Beef Patty”, “Jamaican Style Chicken Patties” and “Jerk Chicken Patty”, among others. The products have the establishment number “EST. 18781” and “P-18781” inside the USDA mark of inspection. Expiration dates are between January 24, 2015 through February 26, 2016. They were shipped to distributors, retailers, and consumers nationwide. You can see pictures of product labels at the USDA web site.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to egg, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place where you bought them for a refund.
