HEB Canned Beans Recalled for Foreign Materials

The FDA’s weekly enforcement report for the week of December 21, 2015 announces some recalls of products that were not released to the public. One recall is for Texas Style HEB canned beans that may contain rocks, or foreign materials. The products were produced by Durrset Amigos Ltd. This contamination poses an injury and choking hazard. There is no word on whether any injuries have occurred in connection with these products.

Recall SignThe recalled products are Texas Style HEB Charro Beans in metal 15 ounce cans. The UPC number is 041220927142. Also recalled is Texas Style HEB Charro Beans in 31 ounce metal cans with UPC number 041220543692. The codes on those products are SA15191, SA15206, SA15209, SA15196, SA15223, and SA15231.

Also recalled are Texas Style HEB Charro Beans Spicy in 15 ounce metal cans. The UPC number on that product is 041220927159. The codes on the product are SA15205, SA15206, SA15217.

Finally, Texas Style HEB Borracho Beans Made with Shiner Rock are recalled, in 15 ounce cans. In addition, Texas Style HEB Borracho Beans Made with Shiner Rock in 31 ounce metal cans are recalled. No UPC number is reported for those products. The codes of these recalled products are SA15191, SA15205, SA15211, SA15182, SA15188, SA15196, and SA15216.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Throw the cans away or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
