In Canada, Papillon Roquefort Cheese Recall Updated

The recall issued on June 17, 2015 for Papillon brand name Roquefort cheese for possible Staphylococcus toxin has been updated. No illnesses have been reported in connection to the consumption of this product.

RecallThe updated information is a recall for Papillon Roquefort cheese sold in variable size packages. All codes up to and including Best Before: 2015.09.15 are recalled. The packages have variable UPC numbers.

The toxin produced by this bacteria is not easily destroyed by regular cooking temperatures, so even baking or grilling this cheese will not make it safe to eat. If you have purchased this product, do not eat it. Discard in a sealed container or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
