In Canada, Polish Dried Sausage Recalled for Listeria

Old Fashioned Meat and Deli at 532 Cleveland Crescent S.E. in Calgary, Alberta, Canada is recalling Polish dried sausage because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date, but illnesses caused by this bacteria can take up to 70 days to appear.

RecallThe recalled item is Polish dried sausage, with no brand name in variable size packages. They were sold from June 10, 2015 up to and including June 24, 2015. The product was sold clerk-served without a label or coding. If you aren’t sure whether or not you purchased this product, contact the retailer.

If you did purchase this product, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund. Then clean out your refrigerator with a mild bleach solution to kill any remaining bacteria, and wash your hands well with soap and water.
