Izzie Macs! Macadamia Nuts Recalled for Salmonella

Mahina Mele Farms is recalling Izzie Macs! Macadamia nuts in various sizes because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Izzie Macs Macadamia Nuts Salmonella RecallThe recalled products were distributed to retail stores from May 26 – 29, 2015 mostly on the East Coast and in Hawaii. The lot number for all of these products is 016. They include Izzie Macs! Macadamia Nuts, salted, in 6 ounce packages with UPC number 689076792677, and in 16 ounce packages with UPC number 689076792974. The same product was also sold unsalted, in 6 ounce packages with UPC number 689076793575, and in 16 ounce packages with UPC number 689076792776.

In addition, bulk macadamia nuts, salted and unsalted, whole and in pieces, are recalled. They were packaged in 5 pound bags with no UPC number, but with l0t number 016. Baby Bruddah’s Mac Nut Buttah in 12 ounce jars is also recalled; the UPC number is 753182242019. Finally, Baby Bruddah’s Chocolate Mac Nut Buttah in 12 ounce jars is recalled, with UPC number 735182242040.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Discard in a sealed or double bagged container, or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
