Jansal Valley Raw Macadamia Nuts Recalled for Salmonella

Sid Wainer and Son of Massachusetts is voluntarily recalling Jansal Valley brand Raw Macadamia Nuts because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

The recalled product is Jansal Valley Raw Macadamia Nuts, packaged in a plastic bag. They were sold in both one pound and eight ounce sizes, with Lot code 469566. They were distributed nationwide in retail stores and through mail order. Random third party testing found the bacteria in a one pound package.

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed or double bagged container, or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
