Kroger Announces Recalls of Sweet & Sour Sauce, Brownies

Kroger Food stores is announcing two recalls. The first is for sauces, and the second is for brownies. There is no word on whether or not any illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these products.

Recall SignThe first real is for East-West Classic Sweet & Sour Sauce, 12 FO, and East-West Zesty Orange Sauce, 12 FO – cases only. The products may contain wheat and soy, two of the major food allergens, that are not declared on the label. They were sold at King Soopers and City Market stores nationwide.

The second recall is for Bakery Fresh Goodness Chocolate Brownies sold in a 16 ounce tub, and Bakery Fresh Goodness Chocolate Brownies with Walnuts, sold in a 16.6 ounce tub. These products may contain walnuts and could cause severe allergic reactions in anyone allergic to tree nuts. They were sold at Kroger Stores located in Georgia; South Carolina; Auburn, Alabama; Greater Cincinnati (including Northern Kentucky and Dayton, Ohio plus South Eastern Indiana); Central and Northwest Ohio; Northwestern Virginia panhandle; Michigan; Hopkinsville and Bowling Green, Kentucky; Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee; Huntsville, Alabama; Indiana (except SE Indiana, -Evansville-); Illinois; Eastern Missouri; Texas and Louisiana; JayC and Smiths.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to the ingredients noted, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
