Kroger Recalls Seasonings for Possible Salmonella

Kroger is recalling their brand name cinnamon, garlic powder, black pepper, and Bac’n Buds products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported in connection with these products.

Recall SignageThe stores under this recall are: Kroger, Ralphs, Food 4 Less, Foods Co., Fred Meyer, Fry’s, King Soopers, City Market, Smith’s, Dillons, Baker’s, Gerbes, Jay C, Ruler Foods, Pay Less, Owen’s, and Scott’s.

The recalled products are Kroger Ground Cinnamon in 18.3 ounce packages with UPC number 1111070034 and sell by date May 19 18PS4. Also recalled is Kroger Garlic Powder in 24.7 ounce packages with UPC number 1111070039 and sell by date May 18 17PS4. Kroger Coarse Ground Black Pepper in 17.1 ounce packages with UPC number 1111070041 and sell by dates of May 18 18 PS4 and May 19 18PS4 is recalled. Finally, Kroger Bac’n Buds in 12.0 ounce packages with UPC number 1111070025 and sell by date of May 20 18PS4 is recalled.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place where you bought them for a full refund, or bring back your register receipt.
