Lobster Chowder Recalled for Undeclared Egg

The CFIA and Simple Simon Pies are recalling Lobster Chowder for undeclared egg, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to egg could suffer a serious allergic reaction if they eat this product. No reported reactions have been received to date.

The recalled items are Simple Simon Soups brand name Lobster Chowder sold in two sizes. The 330 ml size has UPC number 6 27843 38961 3, and the 600 ml size has UPC number 0 62375 05022 6. All codes where egg is not declared on the label are recalled. The product was sold in Alberta and possibly nationally.

If you bought this soup and are allergic to egg, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
