Old Oregon Smokehouse Recalls Tuna for Possible Botulism

Old Oregon Smokehouse is recalling all canned albacore tuna with any codes starting with “OC” because it may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum. This is the eighteenth secondary recall of seafood canned by Skipanon for improper processing and possible botulism.

This product was sold from the company’s retail stores in Tillamook, Oregon and Rockaway, Oregon. The last date of distribution was September 2015. The product is Albacore Tuna in 6 ounce cans. There is no UPC code on the product.

No cases of illnesses have been reported in association with this product. The tuna may have been under processed by the manufacturer, Skipanon Brand Seafood. If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Discard it in a sealed container or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
