OleBob’s Seafoods Recalls Canned Tuna and Salmon for Botulism

OleBob’s Seafoods of Washington is recalling all of its canned tuna and salmon products with codes starting with “OC” because they may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date. The products were packed by Skipanon Brand Seafoods. This is the thirteenth secondary recall of canned seafood products to date.

All of the products were sold under the OleBob’s Seafoods label to consumers in the company retail store in Ilwaco, Washington. They were also sold to customers over the internet from the company’s website. The dates of distribution of the recalled items were May 2014 through September 2015. The recalled products include Wild Coho Salmon, Wild Chinook Salmon, Smoked Chinook Salmon, Solid White Albacore Tuna, Smoked Coho Salmon, Smoked Albacore Tuna, and Smoked Salmon.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Return them to the pace of purchase for a full refund, or throw them away in a sealed or double bagged container.
