Pecan Turtledoves Candies Recalled for Undeclared Peanuts

Virginia Diner Inc. of Wakefield, VA is recalling 10 oz. cans of Happy Holidays Pecan Turtledoves Chocolate Caramel Pecan Clusters (Candy) sold as fundraisers for undeclared peanuts. People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts should not eat these products as they run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do.

turtledoves-recallThe recalled product has the UPC Code 0 85582 01155 2, lot code 092915 PNT, and best by date of 09 23 16 in 10 oz cans labelled Happy Holidays Pecan Turtledoves Chocolate Caramel Pecan Clusters. The recall does not apply to any other Virginia Diner branded products.

The recalled Pecan Turtledoves were sold and distributed via fundraising organizations between September 30, 2015 and November 5, 2015. Orders were shipped from September 30 to November 5, 2015.

The company is contacting affected groups and customers who may have received this mislabeled product, and is providing a list of participants of each group to be contacted. Consumers should return the product to the organization from which it was purchased for a replacement.
