Recall: Bertagni Fresh and Meijer Frozen Sweet Butternut Squash Ravioli

meijer-ravioli-recallBertagni fresh and Meijer frozen Sweet Butternut Squash Ravioli is being recalled for undeclared cashew and almond.  People with allergies or severe sensitivities to cashews or almonds should not eat these products as they run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do.

The 8.8-ounce Bertagni product is packaged in a paper tray inside a plastic bag and wrapped around with paper band. It was distributed nationwide between May 11 and November 12, 2015. It had the UPC 8001020110139, lot codes 506B, 508C, 511D, 512C, 513B, 516B, 520A, 522B, 522F, 523B, 523C, 529C, 530F, 531F, 535C, 536 and expiration dates from August 3 2016 to January 29, 2017.

The 12-ounce Meijer product is packaged in a paper box and was distributed in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin between June 12 and October 26 2015. It had the UPC 760236398479, the lot code 519E, and the expiration date 11/5/2016.

The product is packaged as Simply Roundy’s Natural – Authentic Italian Sweet Butternut Squash Ravioli in Mariano’s Stores in Illinois and Copps, and Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market in Wisconsin. No illnesses or injuries have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

If you are allergic to tree nuts and purchased this product, do not eat it. Discard it or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
