Santan Coconut Products Recalled in Canada for Undeclared Milk

HG Holdings in Canada is recalling Santan brand instant coconut milk powder and instant coconut cream powder because they contain undeclared milk, one of the major food allergens. No allergic reactions have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products.

The recalled products are Santan Coconut Milk Powder in 50 gram packages. All codes where milk is not declared on the label are recalled, and the UPC number is 9 556181 010129. Also recalled is Santan Instant Coconut Cream Powder in 250 gram containers. All codes where milk is not declared on the label are recalled. The UPC number for that product is 9 556181 070017. They were sold in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and possibly nationally.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to milk, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a full refund. You can see pictures of product labels at the CFIA web site.
