Tastee Apple Recalls Caramel Apples for Undeclared Peanuts

Tastee Apple is recalling their Plain Caramel Apples because they may contain undeclared peanuts, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to peanuts could have a life-threatening reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

Tastee Caramel Apple RecallThe recalled “Plain Caramel Apples” are sold in 3 ounce packages. They were distributed in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, New Jersey, and Indiana in retail stores. This is not a quality issue, but a food allergen issue. The apples have the UPC number 0-35266-00027-3 and a code expiration date of 9 29 stamped on the front label. Some packages were mislabeled, and the Plain Caramel Apple includes peanuts not listed on the ingredient label.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a full refund.
