Two brands of tortilla chips, On the Border Cafe Style and Wyandot, which makes Always Save, Meijer, Better Made, Wendy’s, and 7-Eleven, are being recalled for undeclared milk, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to milk could have a serious reaction if they consume these products.
One type of the chips distributed by Wyandot Inc. were sold in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Missouri, Mississippi, Kansas, California, and Canada between September 3 and September 11, 2015 under the brand names listed above. A customer found cheese curls, a product made with milk, mixed in the bag with the tortilla chips. The recall of Cafe Style Tortilla Chips is by Truco Enterprises. A supplier notified them that the products may have been exposed to a milk-containing ingredient. They were sold in 18 ounce packages and have expiration dates of DEC 16 2015 SHA, DEC 17 2015 SHA, and DEC 18 2015 SHA that are on the front of the bag in the upper right hand corner. The product was distributed in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
If you purchased any of these products and are allergic to milk, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
