Walnut Powder Recalled for Undeclared Peanut and Soy

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Kam Wah Resources Co. Ltd are recalling Kaixin brand Walnut Powder for undeclared peanut and soy, two of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to those two ingredients could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. No reactions or illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled product is Kaixin Walnut Powder in 700 gram packages. All lots where peanut and soy are not declared on the label are recalled. The UPC number of the recalled product isĀ 6 923624 800686. It was sold in Ontario at the retail level.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to soy and/or peanuts, do not eat it. Discard or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
