Whole Foods Wild Mushroom Soup Recalled for Undeclared Chestnuts

Brett Anthony Foods of Illinois is recalling 109 cups of Wild Mushroom Soup sold by Whole Foods Markets in some states because it may contain chestnuts, or tree nuts, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to that food could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled product is 24 ounce cups of Wild Mushroom Soup, packaged in a plastic cup. The label is “Whole Foods Market, Wild Mushroom Soup.” The expiration date is 112115, located on the bottom of the cups. The soup was sold in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota, and Nebraska. The problem was discovered by a Whole Foods team member upon receipt of the product.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to chestnuts or tree nuts, do not eat it. Discard the soup or return it, or the receipt, to the place of purchase for a full refund.
