In Canada, Northern King Fish Fingers Recalled for Undeclared Eggs

In Canada, Northern King brand Fish Fingers are being recalled for undeclared eggs. Consumers who have allergies to eggs should not eat this product. In Canada, Fjord Laks Marinated Salmon Recalled for Listeria

A&E Distribution Inc. is recalling Fjord Laks brand Gravlax marinated salmon from the marketplace for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Consumers who have purchased the recalled product should not eat it as Listeria  can cause serious illness and death. The recalled product labelled, Gravlax – Marinated Salmon (Dill sauce included), was sold throughout Quebec in 165 g sizes with "Best Before" dates up to and including February 14, 2016. Symptoms of Listeria infection which can take up to 70 days to develop. They include: nausea and diarrhea followed by fever, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and muscle aches. Noble Spoon Beef and Chicken Entrees Recalled

The Noble Spoon of Santa Rosa, Calif. is recalling approximately 289 pounds of beef and chicken entree products because they were produced without the benefit of federal inspection. Consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them. The rcealled fresh beef and chicken items were produced on January 27 and 28, 2016.  They include: Chicken Carbonara, Chicken Picatta, Chicken Enchiladas, Chicken Burrito, Meatloaf & Potatoes with bacon and cheddar cheese, Spaghetti & Meatballs, John Ash Signature Dish, Campanelle Pasta Bolognese and John Ash Signature Dish, Mexican Pot Roast. The recalled products have Sell-by dates of “02 03” or “02 04” printed on the back of the packaging. Figi’s Classic Marzipan Recalled for Undeclared Almonds

Figi's Companies Inc. of Marshfield, Wis. is recalling 8 ounce packages of Classic Marzipan for undeclared almonds. People who have allergies to almonds should not eat this product as they run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do. The recalled "Classic Marzipan" was distributed nationwide through mail orders and at one retail outlet. It was sold in a kraft colored corrugated container with red printed decorations including the Figi's Logo, labeled with a white and red product label in the upper right hand corner that identifies the item as 100-0034-200 "Classic Marzipan." Purple Cow Ice Cream Recalled for Undeclared Nuts

House of Flavors Inc. is recalling Purple Cow Limited Edition Cookie Butter Ice Cream sold at Meijer stores, in 8 oz cups because it contains undeclared nuts. The recalled ice cream actually contains Purple Cow Butter Pecan Ice Cream and has a Purple Cow Butter Pecan lid. Consumers who may have an allergy or sensitivity to nuts should not eat this ice cream as they run the risk of potentially life-threatening allergic reaction if they do.For consumers who are not allergic to nuts, there is no safety issue with this product. The recalled product has the UPC 13733 61945 and was sold at at Meijer stores in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. 7 State Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Garden of Life Shake Mixes

Garden of Life meal replacement shake mixes have been identified as the source of a seven-state Salmonella Virchow outbreak, according to the Minnesota Department of Health Announced yesterday. At least eight people have been sickened. Because many cases of Salmonella infection are not reported, the number is likely to be much higher. Minnesota health officials said they wanted to "bring this outbreak to the attention of people who have become ill with symptoms of salmonellosis but who have not yet consulted a health care provider. These people should mention this outbreak to their health care provider should they consult one." Garden of Life LLC is recalling meal replacement shakes for Salmonella after illnesses were reported. Consumers who have purchased these products should not use them as Salmonella can cause serious illness. Pink Bikini Supplements Recalled for Undeclared, Banned Drugs

Lucy's Weight Loss System of Arlington, Texas, is recalling all lots of Pink Bikini and Shorts on the Beach Capsules because they contain an undeclared, banned ingredient. Consumers who have purchased this product should not use it. The recall includes all colors, 30 count, 750MG per capsules. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found these products contain  Sibutramine, Phenolphthalein, and/or Diclofenac, which are not declared on the label. Sibutramine is an appetite suppressant that was withdrawn from the U.S. market in October 2010. It is known to substantially increase blood pressure and/or pulse rate. FDA Test Confirms Listeria in Bagged Salad from Dole’s Springfield Plant

Results on a test performed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on a bagged salad made at Dole's facility in Springfield, Ohio confirm the presence of Listeria. The FDA's finding, follows tests performed last week by the Canadian Public Health Agency confirming Listeria in bagged salad from the Dole Springfield plant. The company told U.S. health officials that it stopped production at the plant on January 21, 2016 and began the process of withdrawing products made at the plant from the market. On January 27, 2016, the company stated it was recalling all packaged salads produced in its Springfield, Ohio, facility for possible Listeria contamination. Dole Listeria Outbreak Sickens 15 in 8 States

The Listeria outbreak linked to Dole packaged salads has expanded to include 15 people in eight states, according to an update on the investigation released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) today. All 15 people were hospitalized. In the U.S., the most recent illness was diagnosed January 3. Salads made at the Dole facility linked to this outbreak were not removed from the market until January 22. The salads were sold under the following names: Dole, Fresh Selections, Simple Truth, Marketside, The Little Salad Bar, and President’s Choice.
