7-Eleven Recalls Cookies for Undeclared Peanuts

Glenn Wayne Wholesale Bakery is recalling 7-Eleven Fresh to Go brand cookies because they may contain peanuts, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to peanuts could have a serious reaction if they eat these products. No illnesses have been reported to date.

7-Eleven Cookie Peanut RecallThe recalled cookies were sold at 7-Eleven stores in New York state. They are packed in a clear, plastic film package, with two cookies in each package. The net weight of the packages is 4 ounces, with best by codes Friday 0422, Saturday 0423, and Sunday 0424 on the front label.

The recalled items are 7-Eleven Fresh to Go Chocolate Chunk Cookie with UPC number 052548558741; the UPC number for that product sold in Manhattan is 052548570668. Also recalled is 7-Eleven Fresh to Go Oatmeal Raisin Cookie with UPC number 052548558758 and Manhattan UPC number 052548570651. Finally, 7-Eleven Fresh to Go Sugar Cookie with M&M Chocolate Candy is recalled; that product has the UPC number 052548558765, which in Manhattan is 052548570644.

One of the company’s suppliers reported that three different cookie mixes may contain undeclared peanuts. If you purchased any of these products and are allergic to peanuts, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
