Albertsons, Safeway in OR, WA, ID Recall Bakery Products for Salmonella

Albertsons and Safeway in Oregon, Washington, and eight stores in northern Idaho are recalling 60 bakery products that were made with Valley Milk Products powdered milk that has been recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. The milk powder was used in a vanilla cream custard mix. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products.

The recalled products were sold from the self-service and full-service areas of the bakery on or before December 15, 2016. The products have a sell by date of December 20, 2016 or earlier.

The products are Boston Cream Cakes, Eclairs, Cream Pies 9″, Fruit Tarts & Flans, Parfait Cups, Square Cakes, Whipped Cream Cakes, Diner Cakes, 10″ Cakes, Special Order, and Special Cake, all in various flavors and sizes. The products have been removed from store shelves. If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
