Armour Chili Recalled for Undeclared MSG

Pinnacle Foods of Iowa is recalling 549,539 pounds of Armour Chili because it contains monosodium glutamate (MSG) that is not declared on the product label. No confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received to date.

The recalled products are 14 ounce cans of “Armour Chili No Beans” with best by dates of SEP-08-18, SEP-10-18, SEP-13-18, SEP-20-18, SEP-21-18, SEP-27-18, SEP-28-18, NOV-10-18, NOV-11-18, NOV-22-18, NOV-23-18, and NOV-24-18. They have the establishment number “EST. 2AD” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were produced on various dates in September and November 2015, and were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

The problem was discovered by the firm. If you purchased this product and are sensitive to MSG, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
