Cape Cod Cranberry Trail Mix Recalled for Possible Listeria

HMSHost of Maryland is recalling multiple brands of trail mix because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. This recall is for walnuts that may be contaminated. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The Cape Cod Cranberry Trail Mix in 7 ounce packages was sold under these brand names: Fresh Attractions, 1897, Ciao, Farmers Market, Grounded In, La Tapenade, Marche, MKT, Pronto, PZA, The Local, and Urban Market. Those stores are located in these states: Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, and West Virginia. The trail mix has a UPC number of 2050000142000 and a use by date from 4/5/16 to 9/17/16. You can see pictures of the recalled product labels at the FDA web site.

If you purchased this product under any of those brand names, with that UPC number and use by dates, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a refund. Then clean wherever this item was stored in your home with a mild bleach solution to kill any Listeria bacteria.

If you ate any of this product, monitor yourself for the symptoms of listeriosis for the next 70 days. Those symptoms include high fever, muscle aches, severe headache, neck stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. If you do get sick, see your doctor.
