Charcuterie Parisienne Products Recalled in Canada for Listeria

Charcuterie Parisienne brand cured meats are being recalled in Canada for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The products were sold in Quebec at the retail level. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of these products, but listeriosis can take up to 70 days to manifest.

Recall

The recalled products are all Charcuterie Parisienne brand name. They are Le trio de charcuteries Champêtre in 150 gram packages, with UPC number 8 72863 00760 7 and best before 16 DE 12 and 16 DE 14. Also recalled is Le trio de charcuteries Parisien in 150 gram packages, with UPC number 8 72863 00761 4 and codes Best before 16 DE 13 and 16 DE 20. Also recalled is Cooked White Ham in variable package sizes, about 350 grams, with no UPC number and best before 16 DE05, and Rindless Slab Bacon in variable package sizes, about 200 grams, with no UPC number and Best before 16 DE 14.

If you purchased these products, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a refund. Clean out your refrigerator with a mild bleach solution, since Listeria can grow at refrigerator temperatures. And if you ate these products, monitor yourself for flu-like symptoms for the next 70 days.
