Cheese Ring and Wafers Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is recalling Regent brand Cheese Ring and Junior Stik-O brand Wafer Sticks from the market because they contain egg, milk and soy, three of the major food allergens, that are not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to those ingredients could have a serious reaction if they consume these products. No reported illnesses or reactions have been received in connection with the consumption of these products.

Regent Cheese Ring RecallThe recalled products include Regent brand Cheese ring – Cheese Flavored Snack in 60 gram packages. All codes where milk is not declared on the label are recalled. The UPC number is 4 801688 103511.

Also recalled are Junior Stik-O brand Chocolate Wafer Stick in 380 gram packages. All codes where egg and soy are not declared on the label are recalled. The UPC number for that product is 4 800166 142325. Finally, Junior Stik-O brand Strawberry Wafer Stick in 380 gram packages is recalled. All codes where egg and soy are not declared on the label are recalled. The UPC number for that product is 4 800166 142370.

If you purchased any of these products and are allergic to milk, soy, and/or egg, do not eat them. Throw them away or return them to the store where you bought them for a full refund. You can see pictures of product labels at the CFIA web site.
