Chelsea Food Services Cheese Spread Recall for Undeclared Egg

Chelsea Food Services of Denver is recalling Jarlsberg Cheese Spread with Cookies and Cream Dessert labeling, because it contains undeclared eggs. People who have an allergy or sensitivity to eggs should not eat this product as they run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do.

The recalled product, distributed in Colorado to King Soopers and City Market Stores, was packed in plastic containers with a net wt. 6.6 oz., an expiration date of 05/13/16 and are marked  “Made for King Soopers.”

At the time of the recall, no illnesses had been reported. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the Jarlsberg Cheese Spread containing eggs was labeled with the Cookies and Cream Dessert label which does not contain eggs.
