Chili Peppers Recalled in Canada for Possible Salmonella

Canada Herb is recalling Canada Herb brand fresh chili peppers because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. The peppers were sold in Ontario at the retail level. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of this product.

The recalled product is Canada Herb brand fresh chili peppers. The size of the package is about 454 grams, but is variable. There are no codes on the product and no UPC number. Only fresh chili peppers imported by Canada Herb and sold from June 19, 2016 to July 5, 2016 are included in this recall. The product is sold in clear plastic bags with the name “Canada Herb.” If you aren’t sure whether or not you purchased this product, contact your retailer.

If you did purchase this product, do not eat it. Throw it away in a sealed or double bagged package or return it to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
