If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Throw them away in a sealed or double bagged container or take them back to the place of purchase for a refund. Wash your hands with soap and water after handling these products.

Then clean out your freezer using a solution of one tablespoon liquid chlorine bleach to one gallon warm water. Listeria monocytogenes bacteria are not destroyed by freezing.

If you ate any of these recalled products, watch yourself for the symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes food poisoning for the next 70 days, because that’s how long it can take for you to feel sick. Those symptoms include high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Pregnant women may only have a mild illness that is like the flu, but listeriosis can cause miscarriage and stillbirth. If you do get sick, see your doctor and tell her you ate one of these recalled ice cream products.
