Dollywood Cajun Mix Recalled for Possible Listeria

Rucker’s Makin’ Batch Candies is recalling some code dates of Dollywood Cajun Mix cello bag because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The sunflower seeds used in this product were recalled by SunOpta. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product.

The recalled product is Dollywood Cajun Mix in a 9 ounce clear bag with the Dollywood Theme Park label. The UPC number isĀ 4900005033302. This only affects packages with best by codes ranging from 01/23/16 through 11/11/16. The product is distributed at the Dollywood Theme Park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Dollywood Cajun Mix Listeria Recall

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Discard it in a sealed or double bagged container or return it to the store where you bought it for a full refund. Then wash your cupboards, pantry, or fridge with a solution of one tablespoon liquid chlorine bleach to one gallon warm water to kill any remaining bacteria. Wash your hands well with soap and water after cleaning and after handling this product.

If you ate any of this product, watch yourself for the symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes food poisoning for the next 70 days. They include severe headache, high fever, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, neck stiffness, and muscle aches. If you do feel ill, see your doctor.
